Srinagar, June 16 -- Three persons were injured in a mysterious blast in Jammu and Kashmir's Handwara sub-district on Monday, officials said.
According to officials, the explosion occurred while residents of Kachri Langate were demolishing an old mosque to pave the way for the construction of a new one.
"While clearing the debris, a suspicious object exploded, injuring three individuals," an official said.
The injured have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Mir, Ghulam Ahmad Tantray, and Owais Ahmad Lone - all residents of different villages in Handwara.
