Mohali (Punjab), Nov. 15 -- Police in the Banoor area arrested three Haryana-based men after a dramatic chase on Friday, recovering an illegal pistol from their possession. The operation unfolded after police, acting on a tip-off, intercepted a Haryana-registered car during a routine checking.
According to officials, the vehicle was stopped for inspection when officers noticed a suspicious bag inside the car. Before the police could examine it further, the occupants sped away, prompting a pursuit led by the station house officer.
The chase continued for nearly 4km through village roads, with the suspects attempting to flee towards agricultural fields.
