Jaipur, July 24 -- Three Booth-Level Officers (BLOs) in the Jhotwara assembly segment area here have been suspended for defaulting in joining duty to perform election-related tasks in their respective areas.
The trio failed in joining duties in the areas under their respective charge despite repeated directives and reminders, Jhotwara (Jaipur) Elector Registration Authority Dr LN Bunker said here Wednesday.
The three officials were also contacted over the telephone several times to remind them of the duty. However, this did not work, and the BLOs showed total neglect.
This hampered the election-related work of utmost national importance and attracted strict disciplinary action, Bunker said.
