Nashik, Oct. 12 -- The implementation of transfer orders for 3,854 primary teachers in Maharashtra's Nashik district has been suspended for over two months, despite the successful completion of the online transfer process. This delay has prompted affected educators to threaten an indefinite sit-in protest beginning October 17.

The intra-district transfer drive, conducted through the state government's digital platform to ensure transparency, has already been implemented smoothly in neighbouring districts, including Dhulia, Nandarbar, Ahmednagar, and Jalgaon, leaving Nashik as an exception.
