Kolkata, Sept. 19 -- The second accused in the Regent Park gang-rape case, Debangshu Biswas was arrested from a hideout, exactly 13 days after he allegedly committed the crime in the city, police said today.
The Kolkata Police following inputs raided the hideout last night and arrested Debangshu Biswas, alias Deep from Deshapriya Park in south Kolkata. He had been on the run since the incident occurred on September 5 at Regent Park where a 20-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by her two acquaintances on her birthday.
The girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by Biswas and another man, Chandan Mallick, in his flat at Regent Colony area.
