New Delhi, Dec. 16 -- The country has 28.31 lakh ex-servicemen as per data for 2024-25, with the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) implementing a wide range of rehabilitation, resettlement and skill development schemes to support their post-retirement livelihood, the government informed the Rajya Sabha on Monday.
In a written reply, Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth said that the DGR empanels and sponsors ESM run Private Security Agencies, and State ESM Corporations for providing security guards to various Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and any Corporate Houses, Private Sector Undertakings as requisitioned.
