Visakhapatnam, July 23 -- A group of 28 trainee IPS Officers visited Visakhapatnam Port Authority here today in connection with acquiring exposure on Emerging Security Challenges in Maritime Security.

Since the subject of maritime security is gaining global importance, the Government of India has scheduled visits to Ports for the trainee IPS officers.

During their visit, Port Officials briefed them on the activities and operations of the port, Port Secretary T Venu Gopal said in a release.
