Parbhani, Dec. 25 -- A 25-year-old man was killed in a road accident on the Purna-Tadkalas state highway in Parbhani district on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased, identified as Dyandeshwar Satyaji Bokare of Phukat village, died on the spot after a high-speed tractor collided head-on with his motorcycle near Khandkhed, close to the Balaraja Sugar Factory.
According to preliminary reports, Bokare was returning to his village from Purna town when the tractor, coming from the opposite direction, rammed into his two-wheeler with force.
Upon receiving information, Purna Police Station Inspector Vilas Gubade and his team reached the spot, conducted a panchnama and began investigation. The accident has cast a pall of grief over Phukat village.
