Sangli, Oct. 20 -- With the aim of providing a good market for the farmers' goods and ensuring that they get good income, a special wagon was added for the first time to transport 25 tons of guava, tomatoes and ten thousand eggs from Sangli district under the Sangli pattern, as per the concept of District Collector Ashok Kakade. This wagon was sent to Delhi by the railway train 'Darshan Express' at 5:15 am today .
'Darshan Express' was flagged off at Miraj Railway Station by District Collector Ashok Kakade and Samit Kadam. District Superintendent of Agriculture Officer Vivek Kumbhar, Agriculture Department officials and farmers were present on this occasion.
