Agartala, April 10 -- Enhanced security measures have been implemented throughout Tripura in preparation for the upcoming Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections scheduled on April 12, with campaigning ending on Friday.
Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag said to ensure a peaceful polling process, 24 companies (around 2,400 personnel) of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) have been allocated to the state, and they have already rushed from different parts of Assam, soon after the completion of assembly polls on Thursday.
