Agra, Sept. 16 -- A 23-year-old youth, Asif alias Bunty, who worked at a meat shop, died after being brutally assaulted near a liquor outlet in the Namner area of Rakabganj last night.
The incident occurred when he was allegedly confronted by two individuals who attempted to take money from him. Upon resisting, he was attacked and later succumbed to his injuries.
As per the complaint filed by Asif's father, Liaqat Ali, a resident of Eidgah Kutlupur, his son had gone to Namner around 8 pm. There, he reportedly encountered two persons known to him, one from Rajpur Chungi and another from Firozabad. The two allegedly tried to forcibly take money from Asif, and when he resisted, an altercation broke out.
