New Delhi, Oct. 21 -- Twenty-three Indian crew members of a Cameroon-flagged LPG tanker, MV Falcon, have been rescued after a fire broke out on board the ship, off the coast of Aden, Yemen.

The incident took place on Saturday, when the ship was sailing about 113 nautical miles southeast of Aden on its way to Djibouti.

Initial reports suspected the fire and subsequent explosion was due to a projectile hit, with the Houthis being suspected.

However, subsequent reports suggest the explosion was due to an internal cause. The cause is still being investigated.
