Shimla, Nov. 2 -- Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that 222 automatic milk collection units have been installed across Himachal Pradesh during the past two years as part of the government's concerted efforts to strengthen the dairy sector and boost rural income.

Transparency and timely payments to farmers has also been ensured, he added.

He was presiding over the review meeting of the Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited (MilkFED) in Shimla on Saturday, where he emphasised the need for better marketing strategies, high-quality standards, and expansion of milk processing infrastructure in the state.
