Lucknow, Sept. 8 -- The second day of the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET), conducted by the Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), saw a major crackdown on exam malpractice, with 21 impersonators and candidates using unfair means being apprehended across various centres.
This brings the total number of such cases over the two-day exam period to 31. The examination, held in two shifts at 1,479 centers across 48 districts, recorded a 77 per cent attendance yesterday.
The UPSSSC had put in place stringent surveillance and monitoring systems to ensure a fair and transparent testing process.
