Guwahati, Sept. 9 -- A doctor at a government hospital in Assam has landed himself in trouble after performing 21 C-section deliveries within 10 hours.
Dr. Kantheswar Bordoloi, Senior Medical and Health Officer of the Swahid-Tilak-Hemram-Gunabhiram Civil Hospital in Morigaon district, was served a show-cause notice by the district administration for conducting 21 Lower Segment Cesarean Section (LSCS) deliveries within ten hours on September 5.
The show-cause notice, signed by Additional District Commissioner Nishita Borah, requested the round reports of each LSCS case, details of case preparation, confirmation whether standard operating procedures were followed in each case, information about the staff assisting during the surgeries, and ...
