Chennai, Dec. 26 -- The first session of the Tamil Nadu for the year 2026 willcommence on January 20 with the customary Governmenr R N Ravi's addressto the House.

The session is likely to last for three-four days for a debate thanking the Governorfor his address.

However, the duration of the session would be decided by the Business AdvisoryCommittee to be chaired by Assembly Speaker M Appavu on the opening day ofthe session.

Talking to reporters, Mr Appavu expressed hope that the Governor will keep up thetradition and honour of the State Legislature.
