Chennai, Feb. 26 -- As the nascent Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK)

stepped into its second year, its Founder and actor-politician Vijay on Wednesday asserted that the 2026 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu will witness a turning point like what the State had been in 1967 and 1977.

Speaking at an event to mark the TVK's commencement of second year in office at a private hall at Mahabalipuram, about 55 km from here, he said the TVK was emerging as a leading political force in Tamil Nadu.

"We are a rising political force in Tamil Nadu. The 2026 elections will be a turning point, just like the historic elections of 1967 and 1977", he said.
