New Delhi, Dec. 30 -- The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) marked 2025 as a landmark year, registering major gains in formalisation, credit access, digital governance, and global outreach, according to its Year-End Review released by the ministry on Tuesday.

One of the biggest highlights was the surge in formalisation, with Udyam Registrations crossing 7.3 crore enterprises since 2020, reflecting accelerated integration of MSMEs into the formal economy.

To further support scale and competitiveness, the government revised MSME classification thresholds from April 1, increasing investment and turnover limits to enable enterprises to grow without losing MSME benefits.
