Srinagar, July 1 -- Six months after registering a case over alleged irregularities in the 2020 recruitment for the Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES) Department, the Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today said the probe was now focused on identifying wrongly selected candidates and tracing the money trail linked to the scam.
In a statement, the ACB said that following a complaint, it had conducted a preliminary verification through Police Station Central ACB J&K, which revealed irregularities in the selection process and wrongful appointments. Based on the findings, a formal was registered on January 1, 2025.
