Nashik, May 28 -- Farmers have been selected for the Kharif season 2025 on the 'first come, first served' basis through the schemes launched by Maharashtra government's agriculture department. In the first phase of this scheme, 20,170 farmers in Nashik division have been selected. They will get a total direct benefit of Rs 145.62 crore, said Subhash Katkar, divisional joint director of agriculture, Nashik division, in a press release.

The selected farmers should submit the their documents on the MahaDBT portal by May 31, said Katkar.

This new method was approved in the state-level Kharif planning meeting chaired by Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister on May 21. This includes various agricultural schemes.
