Chandigarh, Oct. 9 -- Punjab Police's Counter Intelligence unit has foiled a major terror plot with the recovery of 2.5 kg of RDX from Jalandhar and the arrest of two suspects linked to an ISI-backed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) module.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Gurjinder Singh and Diwan Singh. Along with the explosives, the police also seized a remote control device suspected to have been used for triggering the explosive. Initial investigations suggest that the consignment was sent from across the border by handlers associated with Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
