Kolkata, Sept. 14 -- The second round of the School Level Selection Test (SLST) for the recruitment of assistant teachers in West Bengal government-aided schools was held today, with around 2.46 lakh candidates appearing for it.
The test, conducted by the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC), was for filling up 12,514 vacancies for Classes 11 and 12 (Higher Secondary).
It was held across 478 centres, beginning at noon and ending at 1.30 pm, while specially-abled candidates were given an additional 30 minutes.
Candidates were instructed to reach their centres by 10 am and were handed question papers and answer sheets at 11:45 am.
