Baghdad, Sept. 22 -- Two members of Iraq's Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) were killed and an intelligence officer was wounded on Sunday in an explosion during a security operation in the western province of Anbar, the Iraqi military said.
The incident occurred at 3:00 p.m. local time (1200 GMT) when a joint force from the CTS and the Anbar intelligence and counterterrorism directorate was inspecting the site of a recent airstrike on hideouts of Islamic State (IS) militants in Anbar, according to a statement from the Security Media Cell, a media outlet affiliated with the Iraqi Joint Operations Command.
