Chennai, Nov. 28 -- Two more people died in rain-related incidents in Tamil Nadu during the last 24 hours taking the number of deaths to ten on Sunday, even as rains abated while the woes of the people continued.

Talking to reporters after reviewing the rain situation, Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management KKSSR Ramachandran said two more deaths were were reported from Cuddalore and Thoothukudi districts, taking the toll to ten.

The Minister said 286 cattles have perished in the state due to the rains.

A total of 1,720 hutments and 309 houses were partially damaged, while 94 hutments and one house was fully damaged, he said.
