Chandigarh, Dec. 8 -- In a dramatic twist to a case that had shaken Punjab's Firozpur two months ago, a minor girl believed to have been killed after being thrown into a canal by her father has surfaced alive, appealing for her father's release.
The incident, recorded on video by the father on September 30, had led to his arrest on murder charges, even though the girl's body was never recovered.
