Sultanpur, July 21 -- A late-night encounter between police and criminals on Sunday near Surhurpur village in the Dostpur police station area of Sultanpur led to the arrest of two armed suspects.
The accused sustained leg injuries during retaliatory firing by police and have since been taken into custody. Weapons and cartridges were recovered from them at the scene.
According to officials, the joint operation was carried out by teams from Dostpur and Motigarpur police stations, along with the Special Operations Group (SOG), following a tip-off.
