Lucknow , April 22 -- Altogether 181 candidates are in the fray for fifth phase of polls in 14 Lok Sabha seats where polling would be held on May 6.
EC sources here said that on the last day of withdrawals on Monday two candidates withdrew the nominations--one each in Faizabad and Barabanki seats.
A total of 337 candidates filed their nominations of which papers of 156 were rejected during scrutiny.
Highest of 27 candidates are in the fray from Amethi seat, followed by 15 each in Rae Bareli and Gonda, 14 in Lucknow, 13 each in Barabanki and Faizabad, 12 each in Kaushambi, Sitapur, Mohanlalganj and Kaiserganj ,10 each in Fatehpur and Bahriach and lowest of 8 each in Dhaurahra and Banda.
