Mumbai, March 21 -- Minister of State Meghna Bordikar on Friday informed the Legislative Council that out of 616 water supply schemes proposed in Hingoli district, 180 have been completed.
Minister of State Bordikar was speaking while replying to a question raised by member Pragya Satav. Members Eknath Khadse, Sadashiv Khot, Hemant Patil participated in the discussion.
Stating that the water supply scheme in Nandura village of Hingoli district was worth Rs 1 crore 20 lakh, state Minister Bordikar said 98 percent of it has been completed, and some errors have been found in it. A fine of Rs 1 lakh has been imposed on the contractor concerned for not removing the defects within the time limit.
