Bengaluru, June 21 -- Sixteen residents of Alipur village in Gauribidanur taluk, Karnataka, who were stranded in Iran amid the ongoing conflict with Israel, returned safely to India and were warmly received at the Kempegowda International Airport here on Saturday.
The group, all from the same village, had been working in Iran when hostilities escalated. They were stuck in conflict zones and faced days of tension and fear, surrounded by the sounds of bombs and gunfire.
