Mathura, Oct. 20 -- At least 16 passengers were seriously injured in a road accident at Yamuna Expressway in the Baldeo area in Mathura district late yesterday night, police said, adding an Etawah Depot roadways bus traveling from Noida to Agra collided with a truck moving in the third lane.
The impact was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely mangled, leaving all 16 passengers on board seriously injured.
Initial reports said the bus driver while driving at a high speed allegedly dozed off. The bus, which departed from Noida late yesterday night, crashed into the rear of a truck, leaving the front of the bus shattered, with windows blown out and seats uprooted.
