Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 21 -- In a major boost to digital learning, as many as 1,35,551 laptops have been distributed across 16,008 schools in Kerala under the ambitious Hi-Tech School and Hi-Tech Lab project.

Apart from laptops, projectors, screens, televisions, printers, cameras, web cameras, and speakers have also been supplied and made fully operational in schools as part of the initiative.

The Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) contributed Rs 683 crore for the project, while an additional Rs 135.5 crore was mobilised through local-level contributions.
