Nagpur, March 1 -- At least 15 persons were killed in a blast at an explosives manufacturing factory in Maharashtra's Nagpur district on Sunday morning, officials said.
The blast took place at the SBL Energy Limited factory, a mining and industrial explosives manufacturer, at Raulgaon in Katol tehsil, a senior police official said.
The exact number of injured persons is yet to be officially confirmed, and rescue operations are ongoing at the site.
According to the officials, the incident occurred on Sunday at around 7.15 am at the company's detonator packing unit, triggering a massive fire and causing panic in nearby areas.
