Hathras, Dec. 18 -- A major road accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, on the Mathura-Bareilly highway near the Mathura border, when a state roadways bus collided with a petroleum-laden tanker. The incident left 15 people injured, nine of whom were admitted to the district hospital.
The Hathras depot bus was traveling from Mathura to Badaun with around 55 passengers on board. The collision took place at around 1:30 pm near milestone number 26, close to Koyal Cut in the Raya police station area. This cut is commonly used to pick up passengers traveling to Iglas and Mursan, who usually stand along the highway.
