Agartala, Jan. 13 -- Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Tuesday flagged off a consignment of 15,000 scented lemons for Kolkata from Agartala Railway Station by Tripura State Organic Farming Development Agency.
The Minister informed that around 80 farmers, cultivating on 100 hectares of land, particularly in South Hadrai and Hawaibari of Khowai district, have grown these lemons. As follow up of Prabashi Tripura conclave held a fortnight ago, a resident of Agartala settled outside Sourav Gupta, took this initiative to send a lemon consignment.
