Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 31 -- A total of 144 police personnel have been dismissed from service in Kerala between May 25, 2016, and September 18, 2025, for involvement in serious criminal cases and grave misconduct, according to official data released by the State Police Headquarters.
Of the total dismissals during this period, 82 personnel were removed for their involvement in grave criminal cases, while 62 were dismissed for serious behavioural and disciplinary violations.
In addition to these cases, the police department also took routine departmental action against 241 personnel, who were removed from service for reasons including unauthorised absence from duty and other violations of service rules.
