Bokaro, Feb. 3 -- Fourteen migrant workers from Jharkhand have been stranded in Dubai, once again highlighting the plight of Indian labourers working abroad. The affected workers belong to Giridih, Hazaribagh and Bokaro districts of the state and have appealed to the government for immediate assistance to ensure their safe return home.
According to sources, the company employing the workers has failed to pay wages for their work and is allegedly forcing them to work beyond stipulated hours. Due to non-payment of salaries, the workers are facing severe difficulties in arranging food and accommodation.
