Shillong, March 7 -- Meghalaya Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma on Friday said that 14 persons have been arrested for their involvement in the Meghalaya Teachers' Eligibility Test (MTET) question paper leak in 2019.
Replying during the Question Hour in the assembly, Sangma said that 11 out of the 14 arrested persons were students or MTET candidates.
He further informed that the source of the question paper leak was the program developer and employee of NEICOM Impression Printing Press, Guwahati.
The question paper leak was first detected at Tura Government College, West Garo Hills District, he added.
The education minister also assured the assembly that the government would take steps to ensure that such incidents do not recur.
