Shimla, March 18 -- As many as 138 contractors in Himachal Pradesh are likely to face blacklisting after a centralised performance evaluation found their work under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) to be unsatisfactory, officials told UNI.
The union Ministry of Rural Development has ranked 182 contractors engaged in the first three phases of PMGSY in the state.
Of them, only 44 were found to have met quality and execution standards, while the remaining 138 were flagged for substandard work, delays and non-compliance with prescribed norms.
The ranking has been carried out through a Government of India portal containing contractor-wise data, inspection reports and records of deficiencies.
