Chennai, June 5 -- In a major crackdown on the cybercrime network,
the Cyber Crime Wing of Tamil Nadu police conducted the Phase-2 of
"Operation Thiraineekku-I" and arrested 136 cyber criminals across the
State.
These criminals are linked to 159 cases registered by the Cyber Crime
Police Stations of Tamil Nadu and the Operation was launched from June 2,
a CCW release said here on Thursday.
Bank mule agents have been identified in this Operation and out of which
six have been secured busting a gang who are behind 30+ shell companies
and 100+ operating mule agents gang.
These arrests represent a significant victory in dismantling organized cybercrime
in the state.
