Chennai, Aug. 20 -- Slamming the BJP-led Government at the Centre for tabling the 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill in Lok Sabha amid uproar by the Opposition parties, as a Black Day and a Black Bill, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin said it was not a reform, but beginning of a dictatorship to silence rivals and crush states.
In a post on X strongly condemning the Bill introduced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah providing legal framework for removal of the the Prime Minister or elected Chief Ministers in States and Union Territories facing allegations of corruption or serious offences and were detained for 30 consecutive days, Mr Stalin said this strikes at the very root of democracy.
