Agartala, March 23 -- The opposition CPI-M in Tripura on Sunday threatened to launch a statewide agitation unless police arrest all the FIR-named accused persons immediately for attacking their public meeting and brutally assaulting a dozen of its leaders on Saturday late hours.
On Sunday, Party State Secretary and Leader of opposition Jitendra Chaudhury alleged that Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha failed to protect the political parties' rights and security of Tripura's people. Under BJP's rule law and order has collapsed and all criminals, and anti-social elements took shelter in the saffron party, and police became puppets in the hands of BJP goons, he alleged.
