Varanasi, March 30 -- A special prayer ceremony was held at the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Monday when a group of 110 devotees from Tamil Nadu performed a complete collective recitation of the ''Ammaichiyarammaan Thiruvasagam''.
The group was led by Shri G. Muthumdasami.
On this occasion, the devotees recited all 658 hymns of the ancient Tamil scripture, ''Thiruvasagam'', in a continuous sequence. This sacred text was composed by the great saint Manikkavachagar and is regarded as a symbol of absolute devotion to Lord Shiva.
