Gadchiroli, Dec. 10 -- Eleven Naxalites carrying a collective bounty of Rs 82 lakh on their heads surrendered before Maharashtra Director General of Police (DGP) Rashmi Shukla on Wednesday in Gadchiroli, officials said.
The group includes senior cadres such as divisional committee members, platoon party committee members, and area committee members.
Four of the surrendered Naxals appeared in full uniform and handed over their weapons.
Police officials said the surrender marks another significant setback for the Naxal organisation in the Dandakaranya region.
The development comes weeks after the surrender of senior leader Bhupathi, also known as Sonu Mallojula Venugopal Rao, along with 61 associates.
