Aizawl, Dec. 24 -- At a ceremony marked by patriotism and national pride, the Assam Rifles on Tuesday unfurled a 108-foot-high monumental national flag at Zokhawsang on the outskirts of Aizawl -- the tallest tricolour installation in Mizoram.

The monumental flag was inaugurated by Mizoram Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, in the presence of Home Minister K. Sapdanga, Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) Major General Suresh Bhambhu and Chief Executive Officer of the Flag Foundation of India Major General Ashim Kohli, along with several senior civil and military officials.
