Amritsar, Feb. 5 -- A US military plane carrying 104 Indians deported from the US landed at Amritsar airport on Wednesday afternoon.

The US Army's C-17 aircraft, carrying the illegal Indian immigrants, landed at Sri Guru Ramdasji International Airport, Amritsar.

According to sources, the 104 Indians included 25 women and 79 men, besides 13 children. Of the 104, 33 belonged to Gujarat, 33 to Haryana and 30 were from Punjab.

The US aircraft had departed from San Antonio, Texas, on Tuesday afternoon carrying the deported Indians. It is the first time the US is using a military plane to deport illegal immigrants.
