Puri, June 26 -- Renowned sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a magnificent sand sculpture featuring 101 idols of Lord Jagannath at Puri Beach to mark the occasion of the annual Ratha Yatra.
The artwork portrays the divine trinity- Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra on their grand chariots.
Through this intricate creation, Sudarsan pays tribute to the centuries-old tradition of the Jagannath Ratha Yatra, which is celebrated with deep devotion across India and around the world.
Approximately 4.5 tons of sand were used for the sculpture. Students from his sand art institute collaborated with him to bring the creation to life.
