Patna, May 17 -- Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that a separate ward was being constructed in Patna and informed that 100 new beds have been added in the medicine ward of Nalanda Medical College Hospital (NMCH).

Pandey said here on Saturday that the new ward has been constructed at an expenditure of Rs 750 lakh. The new ward would also solve the issue of waterlogging during the rainy season inside the ward.

The Minister said that remarkable achievements have been made in the health sector during the past 20 years in Bihar and added that with the addition of new 100 beds the total strength of the bed in the medicine department of NMCH increased to 228.
