Srinagar, Sept. 20 -- Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district today seized 100 kilograms of rotten fish in a joint inspection by police and Food Safety Department officials at Humhama Chowk and registered a case against the accused seller, Police said.
The consignment, packed in two parcels, was intercepted by a team led by In-charge Police Post Humhama in collaboration with officials of the Food Safety Department, they said.
Police identified the accused as Mehdi Hasan Lashkar, a resident of Hawgul Dori in West Bengal, currently residing at Safa Kadal Chowk, Srinagar.
