Patna, Dec. 7 -- Bihar Deputy Chief Minister (Home) Samrat Choudhary on Sunday announced plans for setting up 100 fast-track courts for speedy disposal of long pending cases, reduce the burden on regular courts and to give proper attention to sensitive cases.

Choudhary said here that more than 18 lakh cases are pending in different courts of Bihar and establishment of the fast track courts will provide major relief.

Sharing details he said that fast track courts would be set up in Patna, four each in Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga and Bhagalpur, 3 each in Nalanda, Rohtas, Saran, Begusarai, Vaishali, East Champaran, Samastipur and Madhubani, two each in West Champaran, Saharsa, Purnea, Munger, Nawada, Jehanabad, Arwal, Aurangabad, Kaimur, Bu...
