New Delhi, Dec. 5 -- To commemorate the first anniversary of the Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat campaign, union Minister of Women and Child Development (WCD) Annpurna Devi today launched the 100-Day Intensive Awareness Campaign for a Child Marriage Free Bharat, in the national capital on Thursday.
As part of the 100-day nationwide drive, a wide range of coordinated outreach programmes will be conducted in educational institutions and local self-governing bodies.
These will include community rallies, street plays, creative wall art, poster-making contests, debates and pledge-taking events under the Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat initiative, to generate mass awareness, encouraging public participation and reinforcing collective action against child marriage....
